Everyone has their bad days..

The carnival didn't go as well as planned.. My injury wasn't too bad, but my skills were. I just had a shocking day really..

The day started off pretty badly, with our bus being the only one to break down, and miss the first event. This probably put me in a bad mindset to begin with. My technique was shocking, which is a major aspect of the carnival.

After a couple of events I decided just to have some fun, and I can do the training if I want to make interschool for anything. Overall I had a lot of fun although not doing as well as i wanted. Sprints was probably the best, competing against all my mates and having a laugh=)

Right now my body is aching all over, and I am hurting pretty bad. After the carnival, a few other Winthrop boys and I had footy training, which was pretty easy, but the weather was bad and everyone was absolutely buggered. It started pouring down, and everyone let out a bit of a sigh. We decided to do some running, diving, and sliding marks, which made everyone forget about the bad weather. There weren't many people that rocked up to the training session, so everyone got a fair few goes.

We're versing a very tough team tomorrow in footy, and I'm not really in the mood at the moment. Hopefully I can rid my body of soreness, and have another good game. I am really wanting to take some more high fly's after last weeks game. It's always good to hear the crowd go wild=) This team is by far the best team in the competition, and I've made a bet with Jacob Hill that they will not beat us by over 10 goals.. I really hope our team can lift our game and take it to them.

I will continue my training and will try to get in to something at one of the schools' training sessions. Talk soon, Byeee.

  1. I was annoyed too about missing the first event no how you feel. You still did really well better than what I would of done. Good Luck for football and hope you get into interschool.

  2. Correction: Yours wasn't the only bus with issues. My bus also broke down... in a way. I was on a bus with some year 12s and year 8s and the rear axel broke! It was LOUD. And then as we went around a corner after it broken, the bus hit the traffic lights and the window near our heads cracked. Luckily the glass didn't shatter. It was a bit scary!

We had to get off and walk part of the way until another bus arrived to pick us up.

The carnival was good though huh? Did you like the new venue?

  3. Hahaha I didn't hear about that.. Sounds exciting=)
Yeahh the carnival was still a load of fun=) And the new stadium was soooo much better. After a little while into the carnival I just decided to have some fun, and thought I could just go to the school training if I wanted to get in to something..

  5. Sorry to here, I loved the carnival. I am no doubt a short distance runner, I got 14.2sec for the 100m and 4.30min for the 800m, I was second last only because my friend dropped out after the first lap... SLACKER!!!
